The highlight of our day but not without a bit of The highlight of our day but not without a bit of effort... We arrived at More London around 12:30pm and it wasn't working. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ One of the mums who were around told me that itโ€™s usually closed from 12pm to 2pm! . . The kids disappointment was so big that we decided to wait and hope for the best! Lucky that we usually have some things in the car: mats, colouring book and pens. They managed to entertain themselves in the shade for one hour and a half until the BIG moment. At 2pm on the dot they were back again and it sounded like the beginning of a gig... all the kids who were patiently waiting stood up and ran like crazy towards the fountains! We have been taking photos in the park and at a wild flowers field we found near home since we were allowed to go out for limited walks. Since then we have noticed things that never noticed before. The stillness of the mornings, the vivid colours of the flowers and the horizon clear and crisp. We have noticed the variation in size and colours of the flowers, the beautiful shape of the clouds in the afternoons, and the music coming from the wind while you walk. This is the beauty of our nature that we got to protect. Please be mindful of where you leave your trash as leaving abandoned plastic on the floor generates toxic effects. We always take our trash with us home if there is no any trash bins near us. Have a great weekend everyone๐Ÿ˜‰. . . . ๐ŸŒŸ- Mirando la vida desde una nueva perspectiva. Hands up if you love a model village ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ? I donโ€™t know what it is about them but I find them so charming and they transport you into such an idyllic way of living. bekonscotofficial certainly stole one of the top spots of a local (ish) day out for us. You could easily spend a couple of hours there wandering through the different scenes and spotting the meticulous attention to detail and a ride on the miniature train is an absolute must ๐Ÿš‚. First hike of the season brought us to our favouri First hike of the season brought us to our favourite place - Lesmurdie Falls. Although during the summer seasons itโ€™s not so much of a โ€œFallโ€ as it is a trickle ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ but itโ€™s still a gorgeous place to go and visit. If youโ€™re more into the family strolls rather than the hiking, donโ€™t worry you can do that as well! If you come in from the bottom itโ€™s a short walk from the car posts to the bottom of the falls. Or if you come in from the top you can walk to a look out point. If youโ€™re feeling brave you can walk from the bottom to the top and back again. Or you can do one of the many loops so you go up one side and down another. If your lucky you might also find a coffee van parked up at the bottom. But youโ€™d better get in quick. Iโ€™ve been there some days and by the time weโ€™re leaving around 10/11am on a weekend, both car parks are packed and people are even parking up the road!

Just because it is OUR ideal vision of life and our adventures souls that wants to be satisfied, doesnโ€™t automatically mean it is his too. - Before Otis came into our world we always said, โ€œno doubt, we will travel with our baby too, someday...โ€ And there he is, this tiny fragile human being, that craves all of you, that depends on you and your decisions๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿฝ And you start rethinking your ideal way of living. ๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ - After we took this step, we found the answer to this question for us. Even though it is unbelievable stressful on some days and we think there just canโ€™t be any energy left in our bodies, we feel relieved and happy. โ˜€๏ธ These crazy days also happen if you buy a house in an โ€œoh so pretty neighborhoodโ€, the same one you may grew up yourself ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ - And if we feel happiness, he does too. When we are relaxed, he is too. We figured, there is no way, we are giving up our decision of VREEdome. Back in October when the illusion was life would be more normal, I did a flurry of Christmas activity bookings to the point where I actually forgot about this one ๐Ÿ™‰! It was only when I was searching through my inbox for something else, I remembered Iโ€™d booked it ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ. Given that 2021 has started off even bumpier than anticipated and is probably set to get even more unsettled, it was a great tonic to lift all our spirits. It's Friday and the sun is shining does it get much better whoop ๐Ÿ’› . This is Dewey Beach in Delaware taken last summer holidays. We had such an awesome road trip and the beaches didn't disappoint ๐Ÿ˜ . Although we loved it we thought Dewey Beach was aimed more at the younger ones looking to surf and party so early 20s (wow that makes me feel old saying that ๐Ÿ˜ญ) so would perhaps try elsewhere next time . I just realised that I havenโ€™t shared any photos I just realised that I havenโ€™t shared any photos from our time down in Albany ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Unfortunately we didnโ€™t get to spend a lot of time here. The focus of our trip south was really to tackle Bluff Knoll and Castle Rock. But of course we couldnโ€™t go to Albany and not check out The Gap! Weโ€™ve been a few times now, even the little one has been twice. But this was Daniels first time! Which was a little bit exciting for him. While the huge rock formations is the main reason for going, we couldnโ€™t help but explore up the coastline a bit. Iโ€™m not one to encourage walking off the path, especially not if youโ€™re going to go exploring up the cliff face, but if you go down the rocks towards the water thereโ€™s generally a heap of other people looking around. Be sure to get there early though if youโ€™re going on the weekend or during peak season! The car park is only so big and it doesnโ€™t take long before people are parking along the sides up the narrow road in. However, itโ€™s not the sort of place to have a picnic so people are always coming and going. Itโ€™s definitely worth taking the time to see ๐Ÿ’•

Even though Wendy is only two and wonโ€™t necessar Even though Wendy is only two and wonโ€™t necessarily remember all their places we visit, we love travelling with her. ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒด Prior to recent months, these trips were the most time we would spent together as a family. You begin to wonder who is raising your kid โ€” you or the nursery? It was something I thought about a lot before having children. Itโ€™s a balance I still wonder about now. ๐Ÿค” Tiernan and I have our fifth wedding anniversary this year. We re thinking about where to go (travel rules applying and itโ€™s in November, so I feel confident). But you can bet your bottom dollar Wendy wonโ€™t be left behind. Sheโ€™s too cute and necessary. She can be my carryon luggage of as long as she wants (hopefully forever).

Usually we are pretty good at guestimating how long we want to spend at each place on our road trips, but shenandoahnps is one place we did not schedule enough time! . We had great fun hiking up to the waterfalls and spending the afternoon in the water. We didn't see any bears which I don't know if that's a good or bad thing ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿป . We also spent a day rafting down the river which I'll share soon, let's just say it was an experience ๐Ÿ˜‚ . STAYCATION DONE! . . ...and just like that itโ€™s STAYCATION DONE! . . ...and just like that itโ€™s all done...our first staycation in a long time and our first holiday post COVID-19. If I have to give you one piece of advice it would be to research research research where youโ€™re going. There are still lots of places not open yet or running at a very reduced service. Itโ€™s a shame because I always loved a little bit of the element of surprise when going on holiday; hoping Iโ€™d uncover a gem when we got there. However in this new world itโ€™s a little difficult. For example, some restaurants remain closed, are offering a different menu or are only allowing half the number of diners in than they normally would. We also found a number attractions are remaining closed until mid-August while they finalise arrangements. It's the Tree of Life at Disneys Animal Kingom which is reopening July 11th along with Magic Kingdom! . ๐ŸŒณ Its a huge 145ft baobab tree carved with over 300 animals. Although the tree isn't real the leaves are designed to move in the wind . ๐ŸŽข Some people say animal kingdom is a half day park but if you take in all the shows then you can easily spend a full day there . ๐Ÿฆ Our favourite show is The Lion King . ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Favourite ride is Expedition Everest... Although we haven't been since Pandora was built. One thing you should know about our family is that One thing you should know about our family is that we are HUGE UNC fans! Mike went to graduate school there and I commuted to Chapel Hill just about every weekend for two years from my consulting job. You canโ€™t spend any time in Chapel HIll and not become a devoted basketball fan! ๐Ÿ€And naturally, we have raised our kids to bleed Carolina blue: theyโ€™ve always worn the gear, watched all the basketball games, fly the flag on game day, and have made multiple trips across the country to visit the campus. In 2016, we decided to follow the team to Maui for the Maui Invitational. ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒดThe tournament is held over Thanksgiving week every year in Lahaina, but UNC attends only every 4th year. That year, UNC won the entire tournament and we were there for every game! It was an amazing way to kick off the college basketball season. We decided from that point on, we would spend every 4th Thanksgiving on Maui cheering for the Tar Heels. 2020 is the year we were supposed to go back to Maui. The tournament wasnโ€™t canceled, but it was moved to Asheville, NC and we decided not to go. Itโ€™s a bummer to miss out this year, but weโ€™ll be cheering them on from home with our flag flying proud. Go Heels! Maui 2024!๐ŸŒˆ

MONDAY MONDAY . . It comes round so quickly doesnโ€™t it?!?! This week is a busy one for us, homeschooling continues as we prepare for my little boyโ€™s 7th birthday! He had wanted a Pokemon bouncy castle party with his friends, but sadly that wonโ€™t be able to go ahead now. We have some surprises planned for him, which I hope heโ€™ll enjoy just as much. . . This week we will hopefully hear confirmation of the plans for the โ€œair bridgesโ€ enabling us to travel abroad. What do you think? Will it happen? Would you travel if you could? I have to be honest and say Iโ€™m not convinced...as much as I would love to hop on a plane, I think there are still too many risks - am I wrong? Iโ€™d love to know what you think.... . . I'm so excited to hear about the potential travel corridors this week, it means some of this years travel may still be able to go ahead ๐Ÿคž I know long haul is off the table for a little while longer but I'm dreaming of Asia that the moment This was the last day of our honeymoon in Vietnam, we had a really late flight home from Hanoi so we booked a full day excursion to the Tam Coc River and then got stuck in traffic heading back to the hotel and just about made our transfer to the airport ๐Ÿ˜‚ it was so worth it though! I cant wait to get back to exploring Asia What continent are you missing the most at the moment?

Epcot is set to open the 15th July along with Holywood Studios so not long now ๐ŸŽ‰ . Epcot is split into 2 parts, the World Showcase where you can visit 11 countries in 1 afternoon and the theme park where most of the rides are . Our favourite ride has to be test track where you design your own race car before putting it through its oaces . As for the world showcase our faves are having a beer in Germany and the little boat ride in Mexico . Sunset or moonrise? Last week we got lucky enoug Sunset or moonrise? Last week we got lucky enough to go on a Christmas light sunset river cruise with the mandurahcruises ๐Ÿ’• As always it was an amazing experience! We did the lights tour on the river 2 years ago and it was a no brainer to book tickets again when we got some of the $100 #wanderoutyonder vouchers. We also got really lucky to see this amazing sky while we were out on the water ๐Ÿ˜ Who reckons they know what it was?
