Of all the places we have been, I am the most sad Of all the places we have been, I am the most sad to leave here. This town of Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites region is pure happiness. The mountains (the Italian Alps) are the most majestic we have ever seen and the crystal blue lakes are like glass. The town itself is described the crown jewel of the Dolomites and gives me cozy Aspen vibes with all the European charm. It has been refreshing to have cooler temperatures after the heat waves we had in other parts of Italy. The weather feels like fall but the town seems to create the holiday feeling year round. Our family is in LOVE ❤️

But I can assure you she was living her very best beach life because quite frankly she was made for this. She was also made for us and is the literal glue and joy that binds and completes us. Into the top 5 of my daughter's top 10 destination Into the top 5 of my daughter's top 10 destinations visited and it's wonderful Oman - we spent a week here a few years ago, although we packed it full and were both won over by the country. The highlight for us both? The desert. 🐪 'I remember climbing up gigantic sand dunes to see the most amazing sunset ever (the long climb was worth it)' according to m 8yo. Which is pretty much my memory too. That and the silence, the dunes stretching off in every direction and endless, countless shades of gold, orange, burned, molten caramel. 🐪 It was tough to pick one highlight, given that we saw dolphins in the sea off Muscat, watched a turtle laying eggs in the night and a baby hatching, soaked up the views across a canyon and discovered an oasis in the dry stony mountains. Just to name a few... 🧡🧡🧡

“Collect moments, not things.” I have this quo “Collect moments, not things.” I have this quote sitting on my desk on a beautiful wooden plaque that my late husband and I picked up on one of our trips to Key West. It is such a great reminder to make moments. . Since the new moon last week, I’ve felt some shifts…creative energy shifts. It reminded me I am in control of my life. I can turn dreams into realities. So I started thinking about what I wanted for the remainder of this year. I mean, its been a crap shoot of a year so far, am I right? I wanted to be specific about my intentions and make them really freaking awesome. . I decided I wanted to adventure more. I love camping, being outside, hiking, watching the sunset, sitting my a fire, waking up and having a cup of hot coffee outside. I try to incorporate all of this in our lives at home, but some times you just need a chance of scenery. . I’ve started researching bigger cars, ones that can tow a small trailer. Trailer with a bathroom, heat and air conditioning are a must. I know, I’m more of a glamper than a camper, but if mama ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy. lol. I own it. I’m ok with that. 😉 . So as I plan out our fall and maybe even winter activities, I’m curious to know where are your favorite places to visit? Northeast, down south, out west, doesn’t matter..What we don’t get to this fall, we’ll plan for next year. I’m thinking a National Park trip in the next year or so..🏕 . So take a second to daydream or reminisce. Where would you go if you could go anywhere in the states or Canada. Lakeside? Beaches? Mountains? AD | Got the pool to ourselves 🙌💦 #winningat AD | Got the pool to ourselves 🙌💦 #winningatlife It's so easy to get carried away and try and cram as many activities as possible into our stay here, but we hope to be travelling all summer and we've learned from previous travels that chill days are important. So today we mostly hung out at our campsite - lots of pool action, reading, and kids club - then we took the bikes into the village for ice-cream. It's only 1km into Le Bourg-d'Oisans and there are lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from, and cyclists everywhere! I headed off to the east coast of Singapore on Thu I headed off to the east coast of Singapore on Thursday to spend some time in the #joochiat area. It’s not the first time I’ve been there, and I hope it won’t be the last! The colours yesterday just POPPED under a very hot sun and a brilliant blue sky. I felt so lucky to be able to get out and explore when so many of our friends and family are under lockdown or snowed in. It’s easy not to do anything (or just not to post about it) because I feel guilty or worry that it will upset people. But the truth is I lived vicariously through everyone travelling last summer and the pictures kept me going. The reason I’m a travel writer is because travelling gives me purpose and without it I feel lost. How did I not know that this beautiful abbey and i How did I not know that this beautiful abbey and island existed?! I’ve lived in Scotland all my life and never got the ferry to Inchcolm in the Firth of Forth! It’s only half an hour from South Queensferry and a remarkably easy day trip from Edinburgh. The tour also means you get to go under all 3 of the Forth bridges. Not many visitors to Edinburgh do this trip, so if you’re looking for an alternative day out in Edinburgh this has to be a contender! We have gone from mostly family and close friends We have gone from mostly family and close friends that followed us to a lot more beautiful faces. We realize you don’t really know us like they would. So we wanted to welcome you into these squares and get to know us better. We thought it would be fun to introduce ourselves and share some funny, corky things about us. So here it goes.... If you don’t already know I am Mary. The wife, mom, cook, cleaner, homeschool teacher, nurse you know all those things. I am the main voice behind these squares. And It’s my pleasure to share our journey with you. I love Jesus!! I talk in my sleep. I walk in my sleep. I love the smell of plastic ( remember the hello kitty store? It smelled so good.) Don’t judge me. I know it’s all chemicals. 😂 I like things clean and put away. I can’t focus with clutter. I eat cereal with no milk. I love chocolate ice cream with peanut butter but not a fan of peanut butter. I am normally platinum blonde but haven’t had my hair done in a year and a half. #roadlife I miss my garden and chickens. I also miss having horses and riding. I can’t stand the sounds people make when they eat. I love people and being with people but I equal love my alone time and being just with my family. I really love the beach but I also love the mountains. I love my quit time with the Lord in the morning and then working out with my girls. I love popping pimples. ( I am a licensed aesthetician) But I can’t stand blood or needles. I am passionate about natural health and wellness. I love sharing my love for cooking with others. And I genuinely love helping others. This journey has been a dream of mine for many years but like most dreams I thought it would never come true. I was to sick and financially we weren’t in a place it was even possible. So I am incredibly thankful and blessed to be here!! Now it’s your turn!! What’s a fun or corky fact about?

I really cannot express enough how good it feels f I really cannot express enough how good it feels for us to be travelling again. Every day I have a heart warming moment to remind me how lucky we are. Its not just the incredible scenery, the sunshine, and the wine (though that's all very fabulous)... Last night, Arthur was playing football with a bunch of other kids from the campsite until 10pm. It was wonderful to see him making friends with Dutch and French kids (there aren't any other British families here). Then at dinner last night, the boys were practicing their French with the waitress. I couldn't help but think back to those online French classes they did through school during lockdown. And Ez's swimming has improved more this past week, than it has in the past 18 months of irregular weekly swim classes due to lockdowns. There is so much uncertainty with travel still, but we're so pleased we took the leap of faith and jumped on that ferry last week. The last year and a half has changed so many of us The last year and a half has changed so many of us. For us, it redefined the essence of our lifestyle. It forced us to settle down somewhere, and roots started to grow where we would never have dreamed to live. Two of our daughters have expressed a need for stability, and with the current border situation, we have no plans of leaving for now. We’ll be at the campground again on our beautiful campsite. The twins will soon be filling their university applications and JF and I are starting to talk about what our life might look like “after”… It’s a bit strange and it’s OK. I don’t think it’s the end for the Red Bus, but it is likely the end of the family life on the road. And that is bittersweet, but I like to think that we have more adventures in store together. On the road or otherwise.

It was a perfect evening. # Wendy was only awake for the entree. Since the restaurant was half empty, she was able to sleep next to Tiernan and me on a bench seat. Then we enjoyed a leisurely drink and dessert on this amazing rooftop with friends. No one had to sacrifice their night to sit in the room with the baby (hotel baby sitters aren’t for us). # I remember being so worried she wasn’t warm enough, but really she did not need this jumper in March in Córdoba 😅Basically the epitome of a first time parent...

Today’s weather compared to yesterday is crazy, Today’s weather compared to yesterday is crazy, 27 degrees C yesterday and today it’s 11 degrees less and cloudy with rain! We made the most of the sun yesterday (well the beach was first choice, but littlest still can’t get his head wet due to the glued together cut!). So we visited Cowden Japanese Gardens near Dollar. The gardens are stunning and have lots of pretty Japanese features. The bridge over the pond being the main one! I can’t believe I didn’t know about the gardens existence until now!
