It's been hard to find our groove and know what to add to our little time capsule over the past few weeks..months. So we will start here.... So much has happened since hitting the road again. We certainly feel like different people/travellers since jumping bright eyed and bushy tailed into the travelling life almost 3years ago now. To say adjusting to life on the road with a newborn has been a breeze would be a lie. It's been filled with the normal challenges that come along with having a new bub. Sleepless nights, non stop tears, laughs, high, lows and lots of sitting still watching in awe of just how precious a newborn is. Yet once again we find ourselves at times speechless and beyond proud at how smoothly and lovingly our crew, yet again, adjust to life with a new member in the tribe. We find ourselves time and time again saying...'how lucky are we that we get to bare witness to all these little souls sharing their life with us.' The travelling life has been a little more messy and extremely slow paced this time round. It turns out our littlest tribe member didn't get the memo before he joined us earthside that we are a travelling family. He likes to scream the car down after an hour of travel. Not the most idea of situations to be in but it ensures we are really seeing alllllll of Australia one town at a time!!! But all jokes aside this little man has given us an opportunity to slow down and reflect on our journey to this point. And not just this travelling chapeter of our lives all chapters up until this very moment. Man have we come along way. Its been painful, it's been bloody hard work at times and then there has been complete clarity and peace. We may seem completely 'different' people to some but what we feel in our hearts is a true connection to self. So why has it been hard to fill our time capsule with memories..... Inorder to face these challenges in life and take them on as an opportunity to grow, one must go within. We are still stumbling at times, feeling completely overwhelmed and questioning everything....but the road to inner Peace isn't paved with smooth roads now is it!? #travelaustraliawithkids #ourtribetravels #innerpeace

Just look at the colour of this sea! We had an amazing few days on Iona, swimming in the sea every day! We stayed at the lovely ionapods which are heated and very conveniently located at the North of the island to get to the beaches, 5 minutes walk from the abbey and right below Dun I, the highest point on Iona. I didn’t realise how beautiful Iona was until we arrived. But it definitely captured our hearts and we’ll be back one day! 💕 Let’s just forget about the ferry cancellation on the way back and a rather annoying long detour to get home! We made it and I’m pleased that I feel much more capable of taking the kids away on my own. I think that was the first time I’ve driven onto the ferry myself (aside the tiny one to Gigha!). My FB memories are killing me at the mo 😭. This one popped up this morning of Ez in #Bangkok getting stuck into some noodles. He must be 16 months old here 💚.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Anyways, hope everyone is doing ok? I've been a bit quiet on this account as I've been focusing on peakdistrictkids, closer to home, and we've barely been out in the #Bongo (except for school runs 🤷‍♀️)...⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And we had the weirdest realisation this week... something happened that was totally foreign to us... Jay has annual leave days outstanding for this year that he needs to take 🤣. Hello 👋 We've had so many new followers since we started travelling again, so I thought I'd do a little re-introduction as it's been a looooooooong while since the last time I did this 😘 🚐 I'm Jenny, Mum of the Lynn family. I work as a travel blogger (yes, that is actually a real job that earns you money 😜) - I love the flexibility it provides me around our family and the travel opportunities it brings. 🚐 With Jay (hubby) and our two boys (Arthur 7, Ezra 6) we live in the Peak District 🇬🇧. I also run peakdistrictkids - which has become the go-to website for families exploring the UK's oldest national park 🥾 and the website receives over 180k page views per month. 🚐 As a family we love epic adventures. We have lived in India, trekked the Himalayas, and traversed Africa in a Land Rover. 🚐 We jumped on the pandemic VAN-waggon in June '20 and bought our Mazda Bongo camper from eBay for £7k. We were supposed to be taking a family gap year and travelling overland from London to Sydney last year - a trip Jay and I did back in 2007 🙄. But we absolutely love our Bongo; he's part of the family now 🥰. 🚐 We are all Aussie citizens as Jay and I used to live in Sydney. The boys have never even visited, and it's currently the top country they want to travel to. One day... 🚐 I've never liked sea food. And when I decided to become vegetarian over three years ago, it was a huge relief to just say to people that I'm vegetarian, rather than explain I don't like sea food 🙈. Although I still sometimes eat the boys left over fish fingers 🤷‍♀️. 🚐 Oh and we're currently spending the summer travelling around France in our Bongo and having the best time ever 🥰🇫🇷. This popped up on my feed this morning. ❤️ ❤️ Ethan and Mia were around 8 months old here, back then we did a lot of road trips in Chile with them. 📍 Elqui Valley is about a couple-hour drive west from La Serena. A little mountain town tucked away into the Andes. 2020 screwed everyone’s travel plans.
